Hello, all!
A friend sent me a link to this fun Flickr illustration group:
Colonel Windpipe Needs You!
This is my entry! (It's going to be part of a large printed poster with proceeds going to charity.)
It struck me in a creatively-inspired groove ;~)

Cute Paula!! And I like the little smiley amoeba flag-bearer too-heehee.
Great concept for charity I will have to check it out!
Speaking of causes...did you see the Ripple blog by Kelly Light? (www.ripplesketches.blogspot.com)It's a fundraiser for the Gulf Oil disaster. So many great, inspiring art cards have been donated I hope to create a few more again myself....just wanted to pass it along:)
Also, just wondering how you light your work to photograph??
Have a good weekend!
Thanks! ...and I will check that out.
I like to shoot in diffused sunlight, and I'll add a small spotlight if needed. I've made a big frame with tracing paper on the inside to put between my subject & the light source --that way you get soft, fuzzy shadows.
Shoot on a tripod, set the self-timer so you don't bump the camera at all, and play with the exposures/apertures.
Good luck & have a great weekend!!!
Thanks Paula,
I will try it!! :)
