A dinosaur study for a proposed project. This took me about 2 hours.Love, love, love dinosaurs!I've been adding some chalk pastel to my clay creations lately after they're come out of the oven. I'm digging the new look!
That looks terrific! The pastel is a good idea.
Ooooh, I LOVE the texture the chalk brings out! Hope you get the job!
So cool! I love all the textures that you add! The pastels are a great touch too!
This is so cool! I love the way you used the chalk pastel...look amazing. Great job.
Paula, Great texture on your dinosaur! Adding the chalk really highlights it nicely! I'm curious- what did you use to achieve the reptilian skin texture?? Great job!! :)
Thanks everyone!Suzanne-- a few years back I fashioned myself a texture tool made from clay that looks sort of like a half a golf ball with a handle. I'll snap a photo of my clay tools soon! It's my go-to "reptile skin."(I often see beautiful texture sheets for sale and think, 'I should just MAKE that!')
I love the chalk look - I may have to try it because it seems like it would be way faster then all the dry brushing I do on my sculpts.
I love it! it totaly inspired me, But it was harder than it looked. I did at least try, take a look if you have time. http://pysselterapiochlivsgladje.blogspot.com/2011/06/dinosaurielada.html
