Dinosaur Study!

A dinosaur study for a proposed project. This took me about 2 hours.
Love, love, love dinosaurs!

I've been adding some chalk pastel to my clay creations lately after they're come out of the oven. I'm digging the new look!

Paula, Great texture on your dinosaur! Adding the chalk really highlights it nicely! I'm curious- what did you use to achieve the reptilian skin texture??

Great job!! :)

Thanks everyone!
Suzanne-- a few years back I fashioned myself a texture tool made from clay that looks sort of like a half a golf ball with a handle. I'll snap a photo of my clay tools soon! It's my go-to "reptile skin."
(I often see beautiful texture sheets for sale and think, 'I should just MAKE that!')

I love the chalk look - I may have to try it because it seems like it would be way faster then all the dry brushing I do on my sculpts.
